Solar Decathlon 2009

Solar Decathlon winners have been announced by the US Department of Energy and team Germany won the 2009 contest followed by University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Team California as runners up. Net Metering was the deciding factor between Germany and UIUC with the PV clad Team Germany's house capable of producing enough energy to power two homes besides itself.
