Dear Mr Mehta,
GRIHA provides star based ratings. Platinum certification is provided by LEED/IGBC. I would recommend going for SVAGRIHA rating for the house (administered by the same agency that is responsible for GRIHA certification).

@ Bob- check the first link (upcoming events) under resources..as of now there is no entrance test; only a monthly workshop to get the trainer/evaluator qualification.
